I can't deny that I LOVE the rain & unlike others I was actually super excited to see the tropical storm/depression headed our way. I had a commissioned photo shoot all planned out with a friend & almost thought we'd have to scrub the day..It took a couple episodes of America's Next Top Model to give me inspiration again & convince her to make the long haul out to my place (in the middle of nowhere.) In the end it was a success! The majority of the photo shoot was inside, using whatever props we could get our hands on. You'd be surprised at what you can create with 10 scarves & 4 tutus. We even ended up getting a really beautiful red tinted sunset photo just before the sun went down. I am really hoping for more days like this!
Other than the shoot I worked on my website, added new pictures, & created a "kids" portfolio, because I've been adventuring into children photography lately. I already have a few baby photo shoots scheduled for October so I am excited to really challenge my skills..
That's all for now! www.carolinejulianna.com

Putting myself out there

So my work is currently being exhibited at Pizza Gallery & Grill in the Avenues, Viera. I was so excited to see everything displayed! My work is like my baby & I am just a proud mother I guess.. =] The exhibit is called "SHE" because it features myself, along with two other amazing artists and a super talented young jewerly designer, Lauren Thompson. The official opening is going to be October 21st from 6-8 and will be based around Breast Cancer Awarness month. I've donated an auction piece & all proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer. It really is an awsome feeling to be able to create artwork that will further help someone in need.

On another note I've been booking a lot of "creative" shoots lately..I am always excited to take the reins in any photoshoot. Everyone seems to want something crazy & out there.

I find it interesting to see that the old, cheesy poses are out & the twisted culture is in. Hey I can't complain, it seems to work for me! So I guess I am not your average, family, cheesin photog..but if you want something different I am your go to girl!! Especially with kids, I find it easier to let them play & be themselves. When you tie them down and "try" to pose them, they usually throw a fit..I actually got this shot of my baby neice Audrina from following her around throughout the day. I kept my distance & let her do her thing..
